I am a composer of classical music. Emphasis on melody, harmonic richness, and structural unity are the foundational elements of my music, arising from a recognition that music is the process of thought translated into sound. In the application of these elements is a constant quest to achieve a mastery of craft worthy of the Old World masters. The result is that I am an adherent of the Romantic aesthetic—that music, and indeed all art, should always portray in some sense what ought to be, inspiring and propelling us onward to ever greater creative endeavors.
